This beautiful cabin is on the National Register, Tennessee Historical Commission and was built in 1909 as the Walland Power Plant. Back in the Old Days….. The dam just above the cabin diverted the Little River water so it ran under the power plant which turned a large water wheel hooked to a generator which then supplied power to the local tannery and Townsend.
This cabin is located on one of the most beautiful sections of the Little River.
Serenity is a two bedroom, two bath, 1700 sq foot cabin on the bank of the Little River just 8 miles from Townsend and 11 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It has a large wood burning fireplace with a natural rock hearth in the great room, a screened in back porch where you can sit in the swinging chair and watch the river go by as you listen to the water cascade across the rocks.
Each bedroom in the cabin has a queen size bed. Also in the great room is an additional queen sized sofa bed along with an air hockey game. The fully equipped kitchen has all the pots and pans you need and a dishwasher so you won’t have dishpan hands while on vacation.
Walk out the rear door of the cabin and you can fish or swim in your back yard. If you prefer the cement swimming hole instead of the river to swim in, it's only a short walk to the pool and the playground area.
It's just minutes to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Cades Cove, horseback riding, Tuckaleechee Caverns, kayaking and much more.
If you're looking for nightlife, shows, and outlet shopping, Gatlinburg, action-packed Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood are just 30 minutes away. Only 20 Miles over the Foothills Parkway to Hwy 129 and the Dragon's Tail. If you don't know about the Dragon, it's 318 curves within 11 miles of road on Hwy 129.
Sleeps Up to six people. $1000.00 per Week or $198.00 per day with a 2 day minimum. Sales tax is not included.
