Let us help you plan your next RV Rally at Misty River Cabins & RV Resort. We are the gateway to the Smoky Mountains. Our
close proximity to Knoxville, Maryville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cades Cove and Tail of the Dragon on U.S. 129 makes our resort a great location. 
 

Misty River Cabins is the Tennessee Campground of the Year 2008-2009.
Misty River Cabins & RV Resort is one of the 21 Campgrounds that received an “A” Grade in the nation’s first consumer satisfaction survey of independent privately owned parks.  
 

Did you know that the Great Smoky National Park is the most visited park in the Nation and its only 11 miles from out front door. Whether you delight in the challenge of a strenuous hike to the crest of a mountain or prefer to sit quietly and watch the sun set, Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers a myriad of activities for you to enjoy. The hardest part may be choosing which auto tour, trail, waterfall, overlook, or historic area to explore!


Our scenic rural landscapes are nationally recognized and our centralized location is within a day’s drive of half of the nation’s population.

DO YOU ACCEPT ‘GROUP’ OR ‘CLUB’ CAMPERS?  IF SO, MAX AND MIN NUMBER OF CAMPERS.  
We have hosted groups as few as six campers to the max of fifty. You can view of 
park map to get a lay of the campground.  Or please feel free to visit when you are in the area, we will gladly show you around.    

CAN YOU ARRANGE TO HAVE MEMBERS IN SITES NEAR EACH OTHER?  
We try to keep groups as close together as possible. 

DO YOU HAVE A PAVILLION OR RECREATION HALL THAT WE CAN USE  FOR CLUB GROUP ACTIVITIES? (GAMES, MEALS, & CLUB MEETING) ? 
Our club house is 1600 sq feet indoors, with central ac & heat and a wood burring fire place to make things cozy for the winter time. We have hosted weddings, family reunions, rally’s, meeting’s and classes. It is a great room for groups.  

DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNT FEES FOR GROUP CAMPING?

IS THERE A POOL AVAILABLE?   
The pool and hot tub area will be open when the weather permits, we do close the pool and hot tub for the winter but swimming in the river is allowed all year long.         

DO YOU HAVE WIFI?     
Yes, and it’s FREE to use.   


YOU HAVE FULL HOOKUPS?   
All of our RV sites are full hook up sites. Our Tent sites are all primitive sites.


PULL THRU OR BACK IN SITES?  
Most of our sites are pull thru sites. When you look at our map. All of the sites, except the two outer rows are pull thru sites.  A row is all back in sites and E row are pull into sites.


IS BOTH 30 AND 50 AMP SITES AVAILABLE?   
We have 30 and 50 amp service at all of the RV sites.


ARE PETS ALLOWED?    
We are a pet friendly campground.  Pets are allowed if they are friendly. Pets are required to be on a leash at all times and they should not be left unattended. You must pickup after your pet. 

 WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
A) More than 30 days in advance will result in $5.00 + tax canceling tax fee for campsites. 
B) Less than 30 days in advance will result in the forfeiture of one day rent. You can change the date of you stay one time without accruing any fees to your deposit. If you have not used the deposit by Dec. 31st. it will then be forfeited.  


ARE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?  CREDIT CARD HOLD?  DEPOSIT AMOUNT REQUIRED? 
Yes.  A deposit of $40.00 per campsite is required. For most groups we let each camper make there own reservations. If the group is a Scout Troop or something similar, we can take just one master reservations for everyone. 

Sites for group reservations will be held until 30 days before the event at the discounted rate. We will open up all unreserved sites for general camping the last 30 days at the regular camping rates.

Here are just some of the things the Great Smoky National Park has to offer.


Auto Touring
 - An auto tour of the park offers a chance to see panoramic vistas, rushing mountain streams, weathered historic buildings, and majestic forests stretching to the horizon. Inexpensive booklets are available to serve as your personal tour guides along many park roads.


Bicycling
 - Ride through Cades Cove on a misty summer morning for a truly memorable way to experience the park.

 

Fishing - Anglers can match their skills against wily brook, brown, and rainbow trout on over 700 miles of fishable streams in the park.


Hiking
- Choose from over 800 miles of trails ranging from quiet walkways to multi-day backpacking treks through the backcountry.


Historic Buildings
 - The park has one of the best collections of log buildings in the eastern United States. Nearly 80 historic structures—homes, barns, churches, schools, and grist mills—have been preserved in the park.


Horseback Riding
- The park has hundreds of miles of horse trails and five drive-in horse camps. If you don't own a horse, four rental stables provide mounts and guides.


Picnicking
 - Craving hotdogs, potato salad, water melon... and ants? There are eleven picnic areas to choose from in the park—many have pavilions that can be reserved in advance.


Waterfalls
 - Waterfalls can be found on nearly every river and stream in the park. Here's your guide to some of the best.


Wildflowers
- Great Smoky Mountains National park is known as the "wildflower national park." You can find blooming plants year-round here, but spring and summer are renown for spectacular displays of wildflowers along roads and trails.


Wildlife Viewing
 - Hoping to see an elk, white-tailed deer, or black bear? Read some tips to improve your chances of spotting animals during your visit to the park.
